A Message From Betty Vandenbosch, PhD, President

We hear from a lot of students that they need the degree they are pursuing, they just wish they could get it faster. I can help you with this. Here are a couple of options:

Kaplan University offers the Academic Prior Learning Portfolio course for those of you who have already started classes with us and need help organizing your skills and experiences (from a job, serving in the military, or volunteering, for example). As a result of this course, you’ll create an online portfolio to be assessed for undergraduate credit toward your degree with us. Take a look at the details here.

Using stackable credentials is another way to get to the finish line in an efficient way, saving time and money on completing multiple degrees.

What are stackable credentials, you ask?

If you are working on an associate's degree and need a bachelor's degree or working on a bachelor's degree and want a master's degree, our stackable credentials path is for you.

Consider the following:

  • If you enroll in the Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration, you would complete 90 credits to earn your degree.
  • Then, you decide to complete the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, you will apply the 90 credits from the associate's toward the 180-credit bachelor's, putting you at the halfway mark to a degree before even beginning the bachelor's courses.
  • And, if you decide to earn an MBA, you could complete 20 credits toward the master's degree while in the bachelor's degree program via the accelerated option. You then enter the MBA program with 20 credits already in your favor.

And, an added benefit, as you are progressing toward your future "goal" degree you are also earning other credentials along the way that could assist in your career or job search.

You know what you want to achieve and Kaplan University is here to help you get there.
