Kaplan University Chicago 2017 Commencement Ceremony
On June 3, hundreds of Kaplan University’s 10,700 online graduates attended the 2017 Commencement Ceremony at the Rosemont Theatre near Chicago.
University President, Dr. Betty Vandenbosch, led the event. Gregory Marino, chief executive officer of Kaplan Higher and Professional Education (KHPE), delivered the keynote address at both the morning and afternoon sessions. He encouraged graduates to “fly as high as you can, exploring new heights and new frontiers every day.”
Inspired by his father to embrace change and never stop learning, Marino urged graduates to be open to new opportunities, new perspectives, and new ways of solving problems.
“We look forward to the possibilities and impact you will all have on the world, armed with your Kaplan education,” he said. During his address, Marino also discussed Purdue University’s pending acquisition of Kaplan University.
Students may attend any ceremony that takes place after their final term ends. Ceremonies are open to both online and campus graduates, and each location plans their own ceremony. Click on the date that interests you to view more details. Additional dates will be added when available.
