Meeting the Needs of Today’s Military

We value and support our military and veteran students, which is why Kaplan University’s military education programs are designed to reduce the amount of time and effort needed to earn a degree. For some military occupations, our military programs and partnerships could reduce coursework by a maximum of 73%.*

For instance, the Kaplan University Unit-Hosted Classroom Program (UCP)—offered at Fort Bliss—is an innovative way to bring the college experience to soldiers at or near their place of work during duty hours. Classes are a combination of online and face-to-face sessions over a 10-week quarterly term. Kaplan University’s representatives work with Educational Service Officers to identify appropriate degree programs and create customized schedules designed to coincide with regularly scheduled breaks (such as lunch periods or end of duty day) and shift work.

Kaplan University also participates in Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) and Air University programs designed to simplify and speed up the process of earning your undergraduate degree. The General Education Mobile (GEM) program helps you make progress toward your associate’s degree. Our partnership with the Air University Associate-to-Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) helps shorten your path to a bachelor’s degree.

Kaplan University has evaluated various military occupations and mapped them to specific degree programs, which ensures your training transfers to Kaplan University as college credit. Please note that you are not limited to these military program options. Even if your occupation is not listed, your training may still be eligible for credit. All military transcripts will be evaluated for credit awards. Please note the credit awards listed below do not include transfer credit.
