Dr. Melissa Miller

Dr. Melissa Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Education in Elementary Education, and a Doctor of Education with an emphasis in Educational Leadership. Her doctoral dissertation was a qualitative study of professional development for teacher engagement. Dr. Miller has more than 11 years of teaching experience in elementary, middle, special education, and higher education, including three years in online education. She holds a Postgraduate Professional Degree in Virginia for preschool through eighth grade.

Dr. Miller’s professional memberships include the International Reading Association (IRA) and the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). She is a current Gift of Knowledge student with Kaplan University, pursuing a Post-Master’s Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is a Course Lead for Reading and Writing Methods, EP220. Dr. Miller has been with Kaplan University since January of 2010.
