Dr. Sarah Brown joined Kaplan University as an adjunct instructor for the nurse practitioner program in 2015. She was offered a full-time adjunct position in 2017. Her responsibilities include facilitating effective delivery of curricula in the graduate nursing program.
Dr. Brown maintains current practice part-time in a family practice setting. She is a member of the local nurse practitioner (NP) network in her home state of Florida. She has precepted new graduate NPs in many settings along her career path.
Dr. Brown is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners since 2006 and is licensed in Florida and Iowa. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chatham University. Her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing are from the University of Central Florida. She began her nursing career as an Associate of Science in Nursing graduate from Daytona Beach Community College in Daytona Beach, Florida.
