Jessica Allen is a full-time adjunct faculty member for the School of Nursing which she joined in 2015. Her responsibilities include facilitating learning for the nursing graduate program. She teaches didactic and clinical courses here at Kaplan University. Jessica Allen is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a family nurse practitioner. Currently, Jessica continues to work as a family nurse practitioner in the pediatric primary care setting and the urgent care setting for the past 3 years. As a nurse, she has worked in many different settings from the emergency room, hospice, and home health care. Jessica has completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in the online learning environment. Jessica is actively completing her Nurse Educator Graduate Certificate at Kaplan University and plans to pursue her Doctor of Nursing Practice.
She is a licensed registered nurse in both Texas and Arkansas. Jessica received her MSN with a family nurse practitioner certification from Walden University; her BSN from South University Online; and her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Texarkana Community College in Texarkana, Texas.
