Gurmit Kaur, JD

Gurmit Kaur joined Kaplan University as an adjunct faculty member in 2004. She has served as academic department chair with Kaplan University's School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, formerly known as the School of Legal Studies, since 2007. For the 2009 and 2010 academic years, Gurmit was on assignment as the academic dean to Kaplan Higher Education, Singapore. She has been actively involved in efforts to internationalize/globalize Kaplan University’s syllabus in the US and the Asia Pacific region. Gurmit obtained her law degree from the University of London. She also has a degree in international relations from the University of Malaya. Prior to joining Kaplan University, she practiced law in for 10 years and also taught law courses in the University of London external law program and at the Malaysia Bar final examinations.
