Anne Phillips

Anne Phillips has been an adjunct faculty member in the legal studies programs at Kaplan University since March 2008. "Online teaching is so much fun," she says, "because the students are generally motivated, because they can participate when their schedules permit. That is a seismic shift in education." Anne has taught Legal Research, Law and Technology, Interviewing and Investigating, and Courtroom Presentation.

She has been a practicing attorney in Arizona for 23 years, about half the time with her own private practice and the other half as a public defender with the Maricopa County Legal Defender's Office in Phoenix. She spends her days either in the courtroom or online. Anne has two boys, Alex and Stephen, and loves the Phoenix heat, caffeine, movies, and sports.
