Holly Parker

Holly Parker has been teaching for Kaplan University since 2008. She serves as an Interdisciplinary Course Leader and in 2013 earned the School of Health Sciences Outstanding Course Lead Award. Ms. Parker is strongly committed to the success of first-term students and her efforts include participation in numerous research initiatives focused on maximizing student achievement.

Ms. Parker began her career teaching high school and then created a program for students in all grades K-12 who struggled with communication disorders. She worked as a language specialist at a school for the deaf and the blind. Her prior career experience also includes launching a successful medical records company, employing more than 15 stay-at-home mothers across the country. Ms. Parker has authored a book on teaching stress management techniques to children and is a regular contributor to a stress management blog.

Ms. Parker holds a Master’s of Arts in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Missouri State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness from Kaplan University.
