Dr. Brina Hollis
Dr. Brina Hollis is a faculty member in the health informatics program where she provides a student-centered learning environment. Her personal teaching style centers around creating a learning community: “In the classroom, I am student focused and seek to establish and maintain a community of inquiry in which students feel comfortable discussing course concepts and asking questions. I believe that student engagement is very important and I support and am familiar with technologies that assist in student engagement and the adult learning process.”
Dr. Hollis has worked in a variety of key roles at several institutions including as a program director, market health care programs director, and chair of health services management program. Additionally, Dr. Hollis served as a CEO for a home health solutions organization and has worked as a certified surgical technologist.
Dr. Hollis holds a Doctorate in Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology from Walden University, Master of Health and Human Services with a concentration in health administration from Youngstown State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in management from Myers University.
