Stuart Collins

Stuart Collins joined Kaplan University in 2008. Recently promoted to course lead within the Department of General Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Department, he overseas SS236: An Introduction to American Government.

Professor Collins earned his master's degree in history from Villanova University, and his historical scholarship focuses on trans-national imperialism, nationalism, identity, feminism and modernity. He has also completed a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Florida. In addition, he has a reasonable understanding of classical Latin and Arabic and he has taught a wide variety of history and humanities courses.

Currently, Stuart, his wife, and three young kids live in Evergreen, Colorado. He enjoys Colorado's open spaces, which allow his family to enjoy the "great outdoors."
