R. Dean Davenport
R. Dean Davenport is an adjunct faculty member and critical thinking course lead for the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in the School of General Education at Kaplan University. After finishing an undergraduate degree in philosophy and business administration, he completed a master’s degree in philosophy and a doctorate from Baylor University as well as law a degree from Texas Tech University. He has written on a wide variety of philosophical and ethical issues and a number of his essays have appeared as chapters in larger works and in peer reviewed academic journals.
In addition to his teaching and course lead responsibilities, he continues to write and present at various academic conferences every year. His major areas of academic interests include critical thinking, comparative ethical theory, and the history of philosophy.
