Michelle Lis is one of two assistant chairs in the Mathematics Department. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Mathematics. Michelle started out teaching high school, then part time at a local community college. In 2008, Michelle was an adjunct for the Math Department here at Kaplan University and a tutor for the Math Center. She worked as a full-time tutor in the Math Center before becoming an assistant chair.
Michelle’s primary focus is student success. She also has been a part of the Virtual Difference Makers since its start and hosts the Daily Affirmation page for that group. In addition to her love of education, Michelle enjoys leading a group called kids4kindness that spreads kindness throughout the community. Michelle lives in New Jersey with her husband, three kids, and many animals.
