Ami Gates

Dr. Ami Gates, full-time professor of math and statistics at Kaplan University, has been teaching and developing courses and learning resources for 24 years, both traditionally and online. Dr. Gates is also a faculty mentor, a course lead, a course developer and a statistician. Dr. Gates has a special interest in competency based learning, Big Data in data-driven learning and related methods, adaptive learning, experiential learning, personalized learning environments, and the creation and utilization of multimedia instructional tools and videos to support both students and faculty. Dr. Gates has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, a Master of Science in Mathematics Education, a Master of Science in Computer Science, and a PhD in Computer Engineering and Applied Math and Stats from the University of Florida.
