Susan Knapp, PhD

Dr. Knapp is a professor of human resource management with Kaplan University. She has over 25 years of human resource management experience, including serving as senior director of human resources and training for Sweetser and as director of human resource development at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She has taught as an adjunct professor of human resources for several universities, including University of Southern Maine, Indiana Wesleyan University, and University of Phoenix. She has also consulted and provided business training for numerous organizations, including AT&T, Air Products and Chemicals, United States Air Force, National Semiconductor, and the United States Army Reserve Personnel Center.

Dr. Knapp is a certified senior human resource professional, a certified leadership coach, and a Six Sigma Black Belt. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management.

Dr. Knapp serves as a Kaplan University faculty evaluator for the Portfolio Development and Assessment Program, is chair of the Personal Presentation Professional Competency Committee, and is an advisor for the Kaplan University SHRM student chapter. She is also the editor of the Human Resource Management DBT newsletter.
