Maria Minor, DM
Dr. Maria Minor worked for 23 years at Verizon Communications as a manager in customer service, marketing, engineering, and project management. She began her second career in teaching in 2007, and has taught at several Universities at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Dr. Minor is a member of the American Management Academy and has reviewed many articles and presentation proposals for the yearly conference. In her spare time, she volunteers at St. Vincent De Paul Society, an organization that helps those in need, hikes, and enjoys time with her family. She also loves to kayak and read mystery novels.
Dr. Minor is currently a full time professor at Kaplan University teaching in the undergraduate program in the School of Business and Information Technology. She has been a course lead for Introduction to Management and Organizational Behavior courses.
Dr. Minor has written a chapter in a book called Best Teaching Practices and is working on several studies involving online practices and cyber-bullying at the post-secondary educational level. She has submitted two book proposals and is awaiting acceptance.
