Founded as Hagerstown Business College in 1938, our campus became a part of Kaplan University in 2009. Today, we provide career-focused associate’s, bachelor’s, and master's degrees in business, health care, information technology, and more. We are responsive to the needs of adult learners, offering real flexibility and one-on-one attention. Faculty and staff are committed to helping students make the most of their education.

In 2002, the Hagerstown campus was named the Kaplan Higher Education Campus of the Year. The campus has also received the Washington County Business Awards for Workforce Development, Customer Service, and Leading Edge in recognition of its achievements as an outstanding business in the community.

Student Life at Hagerstown, MD Campus

Kaplan University, Hagerstown campus, offers a variety of student life activities that could help you further your personal and professional goals. Through participation in clubs, such as Caduceus (chartered by the American Medical Technologists as a chapter of Registered Medical Assistants), students are given the opportunity to participate in extracurricular experiences relevant to their interests and career goals.

In addition, our campus works closely with local employers to concentrate its programs in disciplines that prepare students for employment opportunities in the community.

The Kaplan University Maryland Graduation Ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Graduates from any of our online programs or Kaplan University campuses who want to participate in this ceremony are welcome to attend.
