History and Community
What began in Mason City, Iowa, a century ago has expanded into a multicampus educational community. Since 1900, the main campus of Hamilton College has operated as a business career college, and a third branch was added in Des Moines in 1988. In 2007, all seven Hamilton College campuses became part of Kaplan University. Each campus maintains close relationships with its surrounding community, resulting in Kaplan University graduates employed throughout the Midwest. Today, the Des Moines campus offers a variety of associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees with flexible options to fit students’ personal and professional lives.
