Donald R. Berthiaume
Donald Berthiaume has an extensive and diverse background in the allied health profession. After serving as both operating and medical laboratory supervisor in the U.S. Army, he continued his medical career as a respiratory therapist and physical therapist aid at Maine Medical Center and Southern Maine Medical Center. He taught honors biology and biotechnology for 30 years at Biddeford High School, receiving several national educator awards, including The President’s Excellence Award in Secondary Science, The Milken Family National Educator, and The National Biotechnology Educator. Mr. Berthiaume joined Kaplan University (then Andover College) in 2006 as the medical assisting department chair, and in 2011 accepted the position of associate department chair.
