Facilities Designed to Help You Learn
Our campuses all have specially built classrooms, computer labs, student lounge facilities, and administrative offices. Our facilities are partially accessible to persons with physical impairments. Most of our campuses are centrally located near major highways, restaurants, shopping, and bus routes, and offer free parking.
Equipped for Success
Our facilities are designed to help give you develop a practical, working knowledge of the equipment and materials used in your career field.
General equipment for all programs includes computers, Internet connections, overhead projectors, and a variety of computer software and electronic sources. For specific courses, most campuses offer medical labs containing equipment used in the health care field.
Additional Resources
We also offer a library and learning resource center and onsite Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Admissions departments. In addition, you can take advantage of our Academic Success Center for tutoring and assistance provided by Kaplan University staff. Student lounges provide computers, televisions, study tables, vending machines, fridges, and microwaves. On average, each of our computer labs has 24 computer stations.
Library
Our on-campus libraries contain a variety of journals, publications, and other resources for research and general studies. With most locations offering extended evening hours, the library is conveniently open to all Kaplan University students and the public. Support services include reference assistance for online and print materials, research consultations, interlibrary loan services, paper reviews, APA citation and formatting help, and computer training and assistance.
Program-Specific Labs
Many of our campuses offer labs with program-specific equipment, giving students the opportunity to gain hands-on skills in a simulated, real-world environment. We offer medical assisting, nursing, and criminal justice labs at most locations.

Student Clubs and Groups
Our campuses are proud to offer student clubs for additional learning and social opportunities. Club offerings vary by location so be sure to contact your local campus to find out what they have going on. Most clubs participate in fundraising activities and host frequent guest speakers. Here are some of the activities that our campus clubs have to offer.
- Members of the Criminal Justice Club can participate in field trips to places of interest, such as prisons, crime labs, and court rooms; community service events like the CSI Expo and Toys for Tots; and learning projects, such as mock trials. In addition, members can assist with security at community events.
- The Writing Club sponsors creative writing and poetry workshops, projects that include writing letters to troops, paper review sessions, and used book sales.
- Our health sciences clubs encourage students to further develop their medical skills by volunteering at public events, attend health fairs in the community and on campus, and attend review sessions for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam.
- The Business Club focuses on financial/tax information workshops, collection drives, and business attire fashion shows.
- IT Club members repair and diagnose computers for students and take field trips to local IT firms.
- Student Government/Student Council members participate in town hall meetings with the campus president and, campus clothing and food drives, are involved in the community through organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, produce the campus newspaper, address student concerns with deans, and assist with student events.
- APPEAL, which is a club made up of paralegal studies students, organizes seminars and presentations on various legal topics as well as field trips to court, exposing students to the practical aspects of the law they study in their courses.

Student Services
We offer a wide range of services to help you succeed on campus from academic tutoring to transportation to career services. Some of our services include community resource information for housing, utility assistance, childcare, and medical/health programs, and campus transportation programs such as Kaplan Rideshare.
- The Career Services Department offers:

- Assistance with externship site selection and approval
- The Academic Success Center offers onsite tutoring and disability services in addition to tips, strategies, and tools in the following areas: study habits, test taking, note taking, time management, writing, math, and overcoming test anxiety

Our campuses are also involved in community activities and host many functions on campus throughout the year, including:
