Learning Center Experience
The Center for Public Service is recognizing moments
where public servants helped another person in need, made a difference in their
communities, or brought change to the world. Moments like Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr.’s March on Washington that helped pave the way for civil and economic
rights for African Americans. Or moments where hundreds of emergency personnel
risked or gave their lives to rescue people during the September 11
attacks. Moment like these can be
influential in bringing change, creating heroes, and making a difference in
communities all over the United States, and even the world.
In paying tribute to moments in public service that led
to positive changes in
the world or helped others, we invite you to explore the Center and read about
organizations supporting public service related initiatives. Or you can learn
about Kaplan University students and faculty who shared their own moments in public
service during our “30 Days of Inspiration” initiative last year. You can also take part in celebrating and
paying tribute to moments that changed the world by taking our “Match the
Moment” quiz to learn more about moments in public service.
