Kaplan University was the official education partner of Techonomy 2012, an invitation-only conference where world leaders in technology and business gathered to discuss new and emerging technologies and their potential to drive positive changes.

We are committed to offering innovative learning opportunities. It’s one reason why Kaplan University has been a major participant in Techonomy since its inception in 2010.

Held November 2012 in Tucson, Arizona, the event helped position Kaplan University as a key player in providing education for a global, digitized society. Sessions included the “Future of eCommerce and Communications,” “Gamification,” and “Big Data and Cybersecurity,” which were streamed live via KAPx (www.kapx.net).

With technological innovation rapidly occurring each year around the world, the annual conference explores the impact of technology on multiple industries such as finance, health care, education, and government.

Kaplan University staff members who attended conducted more than 20 interviews with representatives of high-profile companies, learning about emerging trends in the industry and employers’ hiring needs. Companies represented included Microsoft, Citi Ventures, MIT Center for Digital Business, eParachute, Nielsen, EMC, Carnegie Mellon, Center for Large Scale Innovation, International Game Technology, TIBCO, Mashable, and Xerox.
