Kaplan University's Eighth Annual Back-to-School Drive Kicks Off to Help Kids in Need

    PS - Back to School

Paper and Pencils to “A”s and Honor Roll

While some kids may be getting a new iPad for their homework, others may wish for a simple notepad. Kaplan University kicked off its Eighth Annual Back to School drive on Monday, July 23, at all Kaplan University corporate offices and campuses.

Shrinking school budgets and tough economic times mean fewer supplies at schools—and fewer families able to afford what their children need to be successful students.

Most teachers’ wish lists include items such as notebook paper (lined and plain), composition notebooks, two-pocket folders, index cards, pens and pencils, crayons, dry erase markers, pink erasers, backpacks, coloring and activity books, and art supplies (glue sticks, glitter, etc.).

The Kaplan University community is looking to help make this school year great for kids and teachers in need and to continue the tradition of donating school supplies to area schools.

The donations will give teachers the materials they need to create a fun, meaningful learning experience for their students. Most importantly, it will ensure that all students will have supplies they need to start the year right.
