    National Mentoring Month

“Be someone who matters to someone who matters.”

Celebrated every January, National Mentoring Month (NMM) was formed by the Harvard School of Public Health and by MENTOR: National Mentoring Partnership. The goals of NMM is to raise mentoring awareness and recruit individuals to become engaged in mentoring.

In honor of National Mentoring Month, the Center for Public Service would like to recognize our own group of mentors. It can be difficult to find balance between work, home, and school.  Mentors are here to encourage newer students, and to help them maintain focus on their academic goals. The College of Public Service Mentoring program currently consists of approximately 20 students who are dedicated to providing a student-to-student support system to first-term students at Kaplan University.
