• Holiday Giving

In December, the Center for Public Service is featuring the topic of giving to others. The Center is featuring articles about giving, a faculty member who helps the disabled in Africa, and spotlights on organizations committed to giving to others whether it be through the gift of education, career support, or information and resources.

Giving to others is like giving to oneself in that the positive impact one makes on another person can generate a positive return to one’s community or the world in itself. Take for instance organizations aimed at improving educational outcomes. By improving teaching and learning or the access to education, people can gain new skills and ideas that can have positive influences in communities, the economy, or politics.

We invite you to explore giving and organizations that help others through education or career support. Through education and career support, these organizations are giving back not only to the individuals they help, but also to many communities.
