    Back to Scholarships Overview
  • Eligibility Requirements Overview:

    • Must be an enrollee in an undergraduate degree program at Kaplan University; continuing, certificate, and graduate students are not eligible.
    • Must meet all Kaplan University admissions requirements for the undergraduate degree program, including GED or high school equivalent, and be fully accepted into one of the Kaplan University eligible online undergraduate degree programs.
    • Must have been enrolled in or have withdrawn from an ITT Technical Institute school within the 120 days prior to its closure (i.e., between May 7 and September 6, 2016), but did not graduate; students who were on an approved leave of absence are considered to have been enrolled. Must submit an unofficial transcript prior to enrollment.*
    • Must have completed six or more ITT courses with a “C-” or higher and achieved a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least a 2.0 out of 4.0 on the submitted prior ITT coursework.
    • Must enroll in a Kaplan University undergraduate degree program on or after September 6, 2016, in a term start beginning no later than January 4, 2017.

    Other Terms and Conditions:

    • If the unofficial transcript is not provided prior to enrollment, the student will not be eligible for the Transfer Grant and will be responsible for full tuition costs. Grant eligibility is determined by reviewing unofficial transcripts.
    • If the student meets all eligibility criteria to qualify, the Grant will be applied by day 20 of the first term as a credit of up to $2,500.00 ($1,250.00 toward one course or $2,500.00 toward two or more courses) taken in the first term. There is no tuition reduction beyond the first term after initial enrollment.
    • If a student fails and retakes a course, Grant money will not be reawarded for that course.
    • The Grant can be used only toward the cost of tuition — it does not cover any fees.
    • There is no direct cash benefit provided to the student. The Grant can be used in conjunction with any other Kaplan University tuition reductions (including active-duty and veterans military tuition rates, capped programs), grants, vouchers, or other scholarships.

*Official transcripts must be submitted by the last day of the first term; however, Grant eligibility will be determined by reviewing unofficial transcripts. See University Catalog for Prior Learning Assessment policy.
