    Jessica Gordon, MSN, CHSE, BSN, BHS, RN, Full Time Faculty, Kaplan University School of Nursing

    Jessica Gordon has been a full-time faculty member in the Kaplan University School of Nursing since 2010. In her position, Jessica strives to educate, encourage, and inspire the students matriculating at the School of Nursing. As the course lead for transcultural nursing, as well as an educator in the Leadership and Management and Health Assessment courses, Jessica embraces the many roles of a professional nurse that are often highlighted throughout the curriculum. 

    Prior work experiences in practice include neuro/surgical/trauma intensive care nursing in a level 1 trauma center for 7 years and multiple university instructor roles at Georgetown University, Kaplan University, and Nova Southeastern University. Jessica Gordon was also the chair of the associates degree nursing program for Kaplan University in Pembroke Pines, FL. Jessica has spent much of her career using her extensive knowledge in high fidelity simulation to design, create, expand, and enhance nursing curricula across the country by presenting at conferences and submitting research for publication in peer reviewed journals. Additionally, her focus has been on developing curricula for schools of nursing focused on innovative teaching methods.

    Jessica earned her first degree, a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services from the University of Florida. Her second degree, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, is from Nova Southeastern University. Jessica also earned a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Kaplan University School of Nursing. In addition to the above mentioned degrees, Jessica is also a certified healthcare simulation educator (CHSE).
