    Elizabeth Frander, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE, Full-Time Faculty, Kaplan University School of Nursing

    Dr. Elizabeth Frander is a full-time faculty member with Kaplan University School of Nursing and has been with Kaplan University since 2011. Dr. Frander teaches primarily in the DNP Program. Some of Dr. Frander’s other responsibilities include curriculum review, course lead duties, service on the Academic Policies Committee, and Assessment and Evaluation committee.

    Prior to joining Kaplan University, Dr. Frander held faculty positions in various BSN, RN-BSN, and MSN programs in Georgia. She has over 30 years of nursing experience in critical care, palliative care, and community health. Dr. Frander has been published in nurse educator, creative nursing, and perspectives in learning. She serves on numerous committees within the community. She has attended and presented numerous conferences and presented, internationally, nationally, and regionally on best practices in online education. Her clinical and research interests include online learning, student engagement, and educational technology, and palliative care.

    Dr. Frander obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia; a master’s degree from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama; a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia; and an associate’s degree in nursing from Columbus State University. Dr. Frander is currently attending William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, in pursuit of a PhD in nursing education. Dr. Frander is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by AACN and as a Certified Nurse Educator by the NLN.
