Dr. Michael Roeschlein has taught Composition I and II for Kaplan University since 2011. He earned his PhD in English at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a specialty in twentieth-century British and Irish literature. Before arriving at Kaplan University, Dr. Roeschlein taught as a visiting assistant professor of English for a three-year term at Marquette University. His publications include two articles in the journal Religion & Literature out of the University of Notre Dame. One of these articles is entitled “E. M. Forster and ‘the Part of the Mind That Seldom Speaks:’ Mysticism, Mythopoeia, and Irony in 'A Passage to India,'” and the other “Theatrical Iteration in Stoppard’s Arcadia: Fractal Mapping, Eternal Recurrence, Perichoresis." Dr. Roeschlein has a novel of his own currently underway. He lives in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee with his lovely wife Dr. Dinorah Cortés-Vélez, an associate professor of Spanish at Marquette University. Dr. Roeschlein is an avid collector of the music of the nineteen-sixties, as all his students come to realize soon enough.
