    Robert L. Morse, JD, LLM

    In 1968, Robert L Morse became a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, where he served with honors until 1973. During his tour in Vietnam, he received an Air Medal, 2 Bronze Stars, a Soldiers Medal, a Cross of Gallantry, and a Combat Infantry Badge. Mr. Morse earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Trial Advocacy from the University of Missouri. He also completed specialized legal courses at the University of Virginia’s Army Judge Advocate General School in Charlottesville.

    In 1976, Mr. Morse was admitted to both the Kansas and Federal bar associations, practicing trial law in suburban Kansas City for 25 years. He served a Kansas magistrate judge from 1993 to 1997 and Olathe Municipal Judge from 1997 to 1998. In 1999, Mr. Morse retired from the active practice of law and became the legal studies department chair with a proprietary college in suburban Kansas City.

    In 2003, he joined Kaplan University as an online adjunct instructor, and in 2006 was selected as professional educator of the year by the Kansas and Missouri Association of Private Career Colleges. He has also worked as an adjunct instructor at Avila University, Johnson County Community College, and National American University.
