    Get the Credit You Deserve

    Students Benefited from Transfer Credits

You could earn credit for completed college courses. To begin the process, download the Prior Learning Transcript Request Form and complete a separate form for each school you attended and are requesting transfer credits. Before mailing the form, contact your previous school’s Registrar’s Office to find out if they charge a fee for this service. You must submit all forms and fees directly to your previous school.

Note: all transcripts for transfer credit evaluation must be received by the last day of the first term.

You may be able to earn credit toward your degree from the knowledge gained in your personal and professional lives. Our Portfolio Development course (EL 203) helps you document your life experience for review by subject matter experts who can recommend credit, if applicable. The course is designed to familiarize you with the process and prepare you to petition for college credit for demonstrable college-level learning acquired through life, personal, and work experience.

    Prior Learning Assessment

Our advisors will carefully assess each program at your current school to determine which credits apply toward a Kaplan University degree. After that, we will create a custom Academic Worksheet, so you have a clear, concise understanding of your transfer path.
