    Rajin Koonjbearry

    Dr. Koonjbearry has over 20 years of applied information technology experience and over 10 years of higher education teaching experience in both face-to-face and online modalities. His focus has been in enterprise computing and information security. He has developed and patented an improved authentication protocol for secure communication for business transactions.

    Dean’s Message 

    Prior to joining Kaplan University, Rajin worked as a faculty member with the University System of Georgia, which awarded him tenure in 1995. He left academia to work for GTE/Verizon as a manager and later as a senior member of technical staff (information assurance) until 2013. He also served as the information security officer for the Oklahoma Supreme Courts and for the US Courts for the 5th Circuit in 2014/2015. Rajin is an expert in cyber security. He has a profile on PR Newswire news and has been featured in several online/TV news channels on data security matters and hackers. He also wrote his dissertation on improving Transport Layer Security, the protocol used to secure web data.
