    Karalea Fisher, Faculty, Health Information

    Karalea Fisher is a full-time faculty member in the health information department. She enjoys making her classes interactive and engaging. Ms. Fisher helps prepare students for workplace success by incorporating real-world scenarios into the classroom.

    She has worked as a health information management training analyst, outpatient coder and cancer abstractor. Additionally, Ms. Fisher served as a training developer on a facility-wide system redevelopment plan for a major health care system. Her prior work history also encompasses several educational positions including health information technology program director at two colleges, distance learning coordinator, and program developer for a Medical Informatics/Epidemiology department.

    Ms. Fisher earned her Master of Science in Information Technology from Aspen University, Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies with minors in health and biology from Eastern Oregon University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology from Central Oregon Community College.
