    Kerrie Berends, Chair, HS 100: Introduction to Health Science

    Kerrie Berends is the chair of the HS 100: Introduction to Health Science course, a core requirement for many School of Health Sciences degree programs. She holds a PhD in Kinesiology and has worked in higher education for the past 22 years. She has been an employee of Kaplan University since 2008 and has held positions as an adjunct professor, curriculum manager, assistant department chair, and department chair. In previous years, she chaired HS 100 and both the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Master of Science in Health Education programs and is pleased to once again chair HS 100. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children on their small horse property in Michigan, and is an active volunteer at church and at a local therapeutic horseback riding facility.
