    Jeffrey L. Bailie

    Dr. Jeff Bailie has served as an educational administrator and consultant to domestic and third world higher education entities, specifically in the field of technology access and academic integration, Web-based instructional design and assessment, technological infrastructure development, and e-learning faculty training, mentoring and supervision. He has been a classroom teacher in the middle school grades through the doctoral level of instruction, both on-ground and online. Bailie is proud to be a professional educator "by choice, not chance."  

    Dr. Bailie holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Secondary Education and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from public universities in the State of South Dakota.  He earned his doctoral degree in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Bailie’s research interests include the influence of instructor efficacy, immediacy and presence in an online learning environment in relation to student cognition, motivation and persistence. Recent publications and conference presentations have focused on advanced strategies for the authentication on online end-user identity.  

    Dr. Bailie feels that Kaplan University’s graduate program excels in the provision of meaningful instruction through a refined coordination of delivery facets and learner centered support services. He values the university’s commitment to academic excellence, as evidenced by the conveyance of a coherent and rigorous curriculum, presented by a professionally prepared and credentialed faculty, and delivered through a technically advanced infrastructure intended to fulfill the expectations of an expanding constituency.
