Kaplan University offers you 4 ways to save time and money on your degree.
These forms of financial assistance do not have to be repaid and apply directly toward paying your tuition. Our scholarships can help eligible students save a maximum of $500 per term on tuition.*
Every Credit Counts Scholarship. Finish the degree you started. Save a maximum of $4,500 on your associate's degree or a maximum of $8,500 on your bachelor's degree.
President's Grant. New students can save a maximum of $900 on an associate's degree or $1,700 on a bachelor's degree.
Most of our programs include a large pool of open electives. That means you’re more likely to transfer in those prior credits.
Prepare a portfolio and have our faculty review it to see how many credits apply. On average, students earn 27 credits and save over $10,000 on tuition.†

* Available only to first-time enrollees in undergraduate degree programs. Eligibility requirements differ for School of Nursing programs. Savings based on length of study, which varies by program and amount of transfer credits, if any, awarded. Scholarship applied at the end of each term, up to a maximum of 17 terms for bachelor’s degree programs and 9 terms for associate’s degrees. Maximum amount is $8,500, which requires receiving the maximum scholarship per term ($500) for 17 terms. Students studying toward associate’s degrees or who receive transfer credit typically study for significantly fewer than 17 terms and do not qualify for maximum savings. Eligibility rules and other terms apply; consult an Admissions Advisor. Scholarships subject to change and/or discontinuation. Cannot be combined with other Kaplan University scholarships, discounts, or grants.
† Incoming Kaplan University students who submitted their portfolios through the LRC 100 or EL 203 process earned an average of 27 quarter credit hours (as of January 2014) toward their Kaplan University undergraduate degrees. Dollar savings are calculated by multiplying the number of quarter credits awarded by the Kaplan University standard tuition of $371. Savings may vary depending on regional Kaplan University tuition rates and the student’s individual prior learning experience. Eligible college credits articulate into Kaplan University undergraduate degree plans. LRC 100 is a not-for-credit course.
