Kaplan University, Cedar Falls campus, has its roots in Mason City, Iowa, where the main campus of Hamilton College has operated as a business career college since 1900. The Cedar Falls campus was added as the fourth branch campus of Hamilton College in 2000, and in 2007, all seven Hamilton College campuses became part of Kaplan University.
Each campus maintains close ties within its surrounding community, resulting in graduates employed throughout the Midwest. The Cedar Falls campus offers a variety of associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees with the flexible choice of day, night, and online classes.

Student Life at Cedar Falls
We offer a variety of student life activities that could help you further your personal and professional goals.
Student Nurse Association: Nursing students interact with their peers as well as practical nursing faculty and staff.
Health Sciences Club: Open to any health science student, this organization sponsors fundraisers, field trips, health fairs, and Medical Assistants Recognition Week.
IT Club: Members attend Microsoft trainings, repair computers for Kaplan University students and staff, organize field trips to local IT firms, and much more.
Writing Club: Prose and poetry workshops, paper-review sessions, and used book sales are just some of the activities for members.
Business Club: Club meetings focus on monthly topics of discussion and frequently include guest speakers. Members also have the opportunity to apply their skills to the real world.
Criminal Justice Club: Members plan community activities to promote Kaplan University’s criminal justice students and help them gain experience in the field.
