Learning Center Experience
Rita J. Gunzelman is a full-time professor in the Kaplan University School of
Business and Information Technology and has worked for Kaplan University since the
inception of the Master of Business Administration program in 2006.
career officially began in 2003 when she started developing curriculum and
teaching Master of Business Administration courses in leadership, ethics,
organizational behavior, and marketing for a university in Colorado Springs.
She currently resides in Colorado Springs and has been active in the community
for many years. Dr. Gunzelman volunteers in a variety of capacities, including
serving as a board member in community organizations and continuous support to
help place abandoned pets into good homes.
Gunzelman’s business career includes decades of executive leadership
responsibilities while working in New York and San Francisco. She has worked
for several Fortune 100 companies including American Express, Citicorp, and
additional business experience working for small and midsized companies,
including an advertising and marketing agency in Kansas City and for a small Bay
Area information technology business as its chief financial officer.
