    Bea Bourne, DM

    Dr. Bea Bourne has taught marketing and management courses as an adjunct professor at several universities. She has worked as an independent consultant specializing in customized training, marketing, and organizational development programs. The majority of Dr. Bourne’s professional career was spent with AT&T, where she held a variety of leadership positions in various departments including: sales, marketing, training and development, and human resources. She took advantage of an early retirement opportunity and then worked for The Women’s Museum: An Institute for the Future, an affiliate of the Smithsonian, as its chief executive officer from 2000 until 2005.

    Dr. Bourne is a graduate of Leadership America and Leadership Texas, both organizations that educate and inspire women in leadership. She has participated in a range of volunteer and community organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, an organization serving more than 40,000 girls and 16,000 adult members and covering a 32-county area. She chairs the Development Committee of the Girl Scout Board.

    Dean’s Message:
    “Dr. Bourne is a full-time marketing faculty member at Kaplan University in the School of Business and Information Technology. She serves as a Kaplan University faculty evaluator for the Portfolio Development and Assessment team. She is also a member of the Kaplan University’s marketing task force charged with creating greater awareness of the Kaplan University marketing courses.”
