• How can Kaplan University students make ends meet while pursuing their education?

Financial Resources - Operation Hope Logo

Kaplan University is now proud to recommend Operation HOPE as a place where students who are facing financial barriers can find guidance to help continue their educational path and emerge with knowledge of financial literacy and tools for debt management.

It’s part of our commitment to you.

We believe a university should adapt to its students — not the other way around. We also believe that support should begin before you enroll and prepare you for success after you graduate. We understand that nontraditional students—working parents, lifelong learners, career changers—have financial obligations beyond school. By referring our students to Operation HOPE, Kaplan University is expanding the ways we deliver on our commitment.

    What is Operation HOPE?

Operation HOPE (HOPE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to economic education and empowerment as a vehicle for improving the economic quality of life for individuals. Since its founding in 1992, HOPE has offered services that range from financial counseling for individuals here in the U.S. to economic-empowerment initiatives for communities in developing nations. HOPE improves the economic quality of life for individuals, families, and communities through programs that create stakeholders; converting “check-cashing store” customers into banking customers, renters into homeowners, small-business dreamers into small-business owners, and minimum-wage workers into living-wage workers.

How does Kaplan University’s association with HOPE work?

Our new Debt Counseling and Financial Education program begins the process.

If you identify yourself as facing significant economic challenges to completing and financing your education, you may request a referral to the Debt Counseling and Financial Education program.* Operation HOPE will then partner with you to create options designed to help you with your student accounts and personal finances.

Depending on your individual situation, those options may include, but are not limited to, free budget counseling, credit improvement support, and more.

All communications regarding your finances, accounts, etc. will be completely confidential and support services through Operation HOPE are at no charge to selected Kaplan University students/graduates.

To find out more information about the Debt Counseling and Financial Education program, please contact Operation Hope at 866-481-3288 (Toll Free) or OHKaplan@operationhope.org.

    We’re on your team.

By directing students to outside options that can help them manage their accrued educational debt, we are investing in educational achievement and economic health for our students. Through this and other programs, we will continue to search for ways to support our students in following their educational dreams and creating a better future for their families and themselves.

AT KAPLAN UNIVERSITY, WE ARE COMMITTED TO YOUR EDUCATION, TO YOUR GOALS, TO YOU.

*Availability is limited. There is no guarantee that this service will reduce or restructure your debt. Operation HOPE is a financial counseling service and does not provide grants, scholarships, or other subsidies for tuition.
